Fugitive From Idaho Located in Spokane Booked on Multiple Charges

Spokane's Special Investigations Unit arrested Colton Hite, 29, on September 3, 2025, after receiving information about his possible location. Hite was wanted in Idaho for parole violations stemming from an assault charge and faced additional charges in Liberty Lake, including multiple counts of Unlawful Imprisonment. Detectives identified his possible whereabouts at a residence on West Maxwell and were informed that he might be armed and unwilling to return to prison. SWAT, Hostage Negotiators, and Air Support units were deployed to ensure a safe resolution. Upon making contact with Hite in the yard, officers took him into custody without incident.

Hite was unarmed during his arrest and was transported to Spokane County Jail. He was booked on the extraditable warrant and charged locally with Attempting to Elude a Police Vehicle, two counts of Unlawful Imprisonment, and two counts of Reckless Endangerment. The arrest highlights ongoing collaboration between law enforcement agencies in addressing fugitive cases.
