Brief Standoff in West Spokane Ends Peacefully After Domestic Violence Suspect Taken into Custody

Spokane, WALocal News

On September 2, 2025, SPD officers arrested Sergio Orduno-Gallegos after responding to a reported assault at 2882 West Elliott Drive. The female victim had left the scene to seek medical treatment, prompting authorities to investigate further. Upon arriving, officers discovered that a No Contact Order was in place, prohibiting Gallegos from contacting the victim. Initial concerns arose regarding two small children possibly present in the apartment, leading to a robust response from SWAT and Hostage Negotiators. After unsuccessful attempts to contact Gallegos, HNT established communication, resulting in his peaceful surrender at 12:30 PM.

Gallegos faces serious charges, including a felony violation of a Domestic Violence No Contact Order and two counts of 2nd Degree Assault - Domestic Violence.
