A robbery at a business on W Summit Parkway led to Jerry G. Allen Jr. 's arrest on August 22, 2025, after he threatened an employee, claiming to possess a firearm. The employee promptly called 911 following the suspect's flight from the scene. Officers quickly responded and identified a possible suspect at Cedar and Broadway, apprehending him within eight minutes of the initial call.

The stolen items were recovered, and Allen, 38, was charged with 1st Degree Robbery and 3rd Degree Theft.
