A robbery occurred on August 22, 2025, at 1:54 PM, when an employee confronted a suspect stealing items at a business on W Summit Parkway. The suspect, Jerry G. Allen Jr. , threatened the employee, claiming he had a firearm, though no weapon was observed. Officers responded promptly, using the description provided by the caller to locate Allen at Cedar and Broadway just eight minutes later.

He was detained without resistance, and the police recovered the stolen merchandise. Allen, 38, faces charges of 1st Degree Robbery and 3rd Degree Theft and has been booked into the Spokane County Jail. This incident underscores the importance of community vigilance and rapid law enforcement response in enhancing public safety.
