A robbery took place on August 22, 2025, at a business on W Summit Parkway, where an employee confronted a suspect who threatened him with a gun. The employee immediately contacted 911 after the suspect fled without showing the firearm. Officers responded swiftly, locating a possible suspect, Jerry G. Allen Jr. , just eight minutes later at Cedar and Broadway.

Following the investigation, Allen was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail for 1st Degree Robbery and 3rd Degree Theft. The stolen items were successfully recovered, showcasing effective police response. This incident raises awareness about safety measures for local businesses amid rising crime rates. Spokane Police continue to advocate for community vigilance and prompt reporting of suspicious activities.
