Although the suspect claimed to have a gun, none was visible during the incident. The employee promptly called 911 after the suspect fled the scene. Officers quickly responded and located a potential suspect, Jerry G. Allen Jr.

, 38, at Cedar and Broadway within eight minutes of the initial call. Allen was detained without issue, and the stolen items were recovered during the investigation. He faces charges of 1st Degree Robbery and 3rd Degree Theft. Local law enforcement's rapid response underscores their commitment to community safety and crime reduction.
