Robbery Suspect Taken into Custody Minutes After Committing the Crime

A robbery was reported on August 22, 2025, at 1:54 p. m. at a business on W Summit Parkway. The suspect threatened an employee with a firearm, but no weapon was observed during the incident. After the suspect fled, the employee called 911, prompting a swift police response.

Officers detained Jerry G. Allen Jr. (38) at Cedar and Broadway just eight minutes later. He was arrested and booked into Spokane County Jail on charges of 1st Degree Robbery and 3rd Degree Theft. The investigation resulted in the recovery of the stolen items.

This incident highlights the rapid response capabilities of local law enforcement in addressing crime. Authorities encourage anyone witnessing a crime to report it immediately to ensure swift action.
