Downtown Arson Suspect in Custody

Spokane police arrested Troy A. Silk, 45, for three counts of second-degree arson after a series of fires were reported in downtown Spokane on August 21, 2025. The fires caused damage to properties located on West Main, West Riverside, and West Spokane Falls Boulevard. Patrol officers collected evidence and identified Silk as a person of interest using video footage from surrounding businesses. Major Crimes Unit Detectives arrested him on August 22, while he was already in custody for unrelated crimes.
