Despite no weapon being visible, the employee called 911 immediately after the suspect fled the scene. Spokane police officers quickly arrived and, using the description provided by witnesses, located a suspect at Cedar and Broadway within eight minutes. The suspect, identified as Jerry G. Allen Jr.

, was detained without incident, and the stolen items were recovered. Allen, 38, now faces serious charges, including 1st Degree Robbery and 3rd Degree Theft, and has been booked into Spokane County Jail.
