Downtown Arson Suspect in Custody

Spokane police arrested Troy A. Silk, 45, on August 22, 2025, after he became a person of interest in a series of arson incidents that took place the previous day. Three properties sustained damage from fires in the downtown corridor, specifically in the 400 block of West Main, West Riverside, and the 300 block of West Spokane Falls Boulevard. Patrol officers worked diligently to secure evidence and obtained video footage from nearby businesses, leading to Silk's identification and arrest. At the time of his arrest, Silk was already in custody for unrelated crimes at Spokane County Jail.
