Robbery Suspect Taken into Custody Minutes After Committing the Crime

A robbery was reported on August 22, 2025, at 1:54 PM at a business on W Summit Parkway, where an employee confronted a suspect who threatened him with a firearm. The employee quickly contacted 911 after the suspect fled the scene. Officers responded rapidly, and within eight minutes, they located a possible suspect, Jerry G. Allen Jr. , at Cedar and Broadway.

Allen was detained without incident, and further investigation confirmed he was the perpetrator. He was charged with 1st Degree Robbery and 3rd Degree Theft, with all stolen items recovered.
