Robbery Suspect Taken into Custody Minutes After Committing the Crime

A robbery took place on August 22, 2025, at a business on W Summit Parkway, where an employee confronted a male suspect who threatened him with a firearm. Although no weapon was displayed, the employee promptly called 911 after the suspect fled. Officers responded rapidly, locating Jerry G. Allen Jr. at Cedar and Broadway just eight minutes later.

He was detained without resistance, and the stolen merchandise was recovered. Allen now faces serious charges, including 1st Degree Robbery and 3rd Degree Theft, and is being held in Spokane County Jail. Such incidents underscore the importance of community vigilance and quick police action in crime prevention.
