Spokane allocated $7. 5 million to fund nine affordable housing projects aimed at increasing rental and homeownership options. Two rehabilitation projects will preserve 50 units for households earning 50% AMI or less and introduce an additional 49 units for those earning 80% AMI or less.

Furthermore, a new homeownership initiative will create 12 single-family townhomes, with six designated for households earning 80% AMI or less. Mayor Brown highlighted the significance of these funds in promoting stability and opportunity within the community. The projects will ultimately serve 86 eligible households, particularly from vulnerable populations as defined by HUD.
