Downtown Arson Suspect in Custody

Spokane police responded to a series of fires in the downtown corridor early on August 21, 2025, resulting in damage to three properties. Officers collected evidence and identified Troy A. Silk, 45, as a person of interest in the arson case. Detectives obtained video footage from nearby businesses, which confirmed Silk's involvement, leading to his arrest on August 22 for three counts of second-degree arson. Silk was already in custody at Spokane County Jail for unrelated crimes at the time of his arrest.
