Spokane Police respond to fatal stabbing one arrested

Spokane Police arrested Colin L. Pedro, 20, for 2nd Degree Murder and several assault charges following a stabbing incident on August 7, 2025. Officers responded to calls of a fight near Spokane Falls Blvd and located Pedro threatening suicide on the Post Street Bridge. The situation escalated, prompting a response from SWAT and a Hostage Negotiation Team, which successfully de-escalated the standoff after nearly four hours.
