Spokane Police Department announces road closures for the memorial service of Sergeant Ken Salas scheduled for August 20. The closures will begin at 9 a. m. and affect significant routes, including Southbound Division at Sharp and Washington from Boone to Spokane Falls Boulevard. Traffic will be diverted west towards Monroe or east towards Hamilton as necessary.

Washington and North River Drive will be closed for several hours, with northbound traffic on Washington and Spokane Falls Boulevard restricted until approximately 3 p. m. Assembly between Wellesley and Francis will close from 9:30 to 11:30 a. m. These revisions aim to facilitate the memorial service and ensure public safety.

Residents are advised to allow extra travel time due to anticipated traffic disruptions. The service honors the contributions of Sergeant Salas to the Spokane community.
