Spokane Police respond to stabbing, one dead, another injured

Spokane Police arrested Colin L. Pedro, 20, on charges of 2nd Degree Assault (Domestic Violence) and 2nd Degree Murder following a stabbing incident on August 7, 2025. Officers quickly responded to a report of a fight near Spokane Falls Blvd and found one victim with serious injuries, who later died at the hospital. The other victim, expected to recover, was in a dating relationship with Pedro. Authorities managed to detain him after a nearly four-hour standoff on the Post Street Bridge.

Investigators are exploring the relationship between Pedro and the deceased victim. The Spokane Police Department has called for witnesses or anyone with video footage to come forward, emphasizing its dedication to community safety.
