Spokane police arrested Taylor Gudgel, 36, on August 15 for multiple charges, including 1st degree Rape Domestic Violence and 1st degree Kidnapping. The initial police response occurred on August 14 when officers discovered a male victim with significant injuries after Gudgel assaulted him with his vehicle. Investigators learned that both victims were acquaintances and had been seen together prior to the assault. The next day, a relative of the female victim expressed concerns about a possible kidnapping, leading officers to take action. Detectives found Gudgel’s vehicle, prompting a SWAT deployment that resulted in a forced entry into a home where both Gudgel and the victim were located.

Gudgel was arrested without incident and booked into Spokane County Jail. The male victim is receiving treatment at a local hospital and is expected to recover. Domestic violence resources are available for those in need, emphasizing the community's commitment to combating such issues.
