Colin L. Pedro, 20, has been charged with 2nd Degree Murder and multiple assault charges following a stabbing incident in Spokane on August 7, 2025. The altercation left one victim dead and another, who was in a dating relationship with Pedro, injured but recovering. Police responded swiftly to a fight reported near Spokane Falls Blvd, where Pedro was found on the Post Street Bridge threatening suicide. The police mobilized numerous resources, including SWAT and a Hostage Negotiation Team, to de-escalate the situation, which lasted nearly four hours.
