Spokane Police respond to stabbing downtown, one dead, one injured

Pedro, 20, on charges including 2nd Degree Murder after a stabbing incident on August 7, 2025, near Spokane Falls Blvd. One victim succumbed to injuries at a hospital, while another suffered serious but stable injuries. Pedro had a dating relationship with the surviving victim, and authorities are still investigating the nature of his connection to the deceased. The incident prompted a swift response from law enforcement, including SWAT and a negotiation team, who safely detained Pedro after a four-hour standoff on the Post Street Bridge.
