Engine 3 arrived within six minutes to find a 100-by-100-foot area of grass and shrubs ablaze, with flames threatening nearby structures. Crews from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources assisted and brought the fire under control within 20 minutes.

Authorities are investigating the fire as suspicious, as witnesses reported a white male, aged mid-60s to mid-70s, driving an orange sedan in the area at the time.
