Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Spokane, WALocal News

Construction projects starting July 21 will disrupt traffic on South Freya St. and South Lincoln St. in Spokane. The South Freya St. project will replace over 3,000 feet of water main and repair street surfaces, with closures expected until late October.

Motorists must use Hartson Ave. , South Ray St. , and East 29th Ave. as detours while maintaining local access for residents. Meanwhile, South Lincoln St.

will see crews replacing swale plantings, with work occurring intermittently throughout the summer. Flaggers will direct traffic as needed, and delays are likely, prompting the use of alternate routes. Pedestrian detours will also be in place when sidewalks are obstructed. The construction aims to improve infrastructure while minimizing service disruptions. Current obstruction information is available on the city’s construction webpage.
