Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Spokane, WALocal News

Starting Monday, July 21, Spokane will see significant traffic disruptions due to construction on South Freya St. and South Lincoln St. The South Freya St. project aims to replace over 3,000 feet of water main, and includes street repairs and ADA-compliant curb ramps, with the completion date set for late October. Motorists will experience road closures and are advised to use Hartson Ave.

, South Ray St. , or East 29th Ave. as detour routes. The South Lincoln St. project focuses on rehabilitating swale plantings, with work scheduled intermittently throughout the summer.

Flaggers will be present to manage vehicle traffic when needed, leading to potential delays. Pedestrian detours will also be in place to ensure safety when sidewalks are obstructed. Local access for residents will be maintained throughout both projects. Current construction updates are available on the city’s construction webpage.
