Tragic mishap on an electric scooter leads to a collision, resulting in the death of an adult male

On July 19, 2025, a male passenger fell from an electric scooter and was struck by a semi-truck in Spokane, leading to his death. The incident occurred around 2:20 a. m. near the intersection of Division and Dalton. Witnesses reported that the passenger lost his balance while riding, causing him to fall into the roadway.

The semi-truck driver immediately stopped to render assistance, and emergency responders arrived shortly after to attempt life-saving measures. Despite their efforts, the male succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The semi-truck driver showed no signs of impairment and cooperated with law enforcement during the investigation. The area was closed off for several hours to conduct a thorough investigation. The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the deceased at a later date.
