Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Spokane, WALocal News

Two significant construction projects will commence on July 21, impacting Spokane's traffic. The South Freya St. project involves replacing over 3,000 feet of water main and includes street surface repairs and ADA-compliant curb ramps. This section will be closed to motorists, with detours utilizing Hartson Ave. , South Ray St.

, and East 29th Ave. Local access for residents will be maintained, and the project is expected to be completed by late October. On South Lincoln St. , crews will rehabilitate swale plantings by removing old plants and replacing them with new ones throughout the summer. Work will be performed intermittently on weekdays, with flaggers directing traffic as needed.

Traffic delays may arise, and alternate routes include High Drive and Bernard St. Pedestrian detours will be in effect when sidewalks are obstructed, ensuring safety during construction.
