Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Spokane will experience traffic disruptions starting July 21 due to two construction projects. South Freya St. will close between 13th Ave. and 21st Ave. for a significant water main replacement, which covers over 3,000 feet.

Street surface repairs and ADA-compliant curb ramps will also be included. Detour routes will direct motorists via Hartson Ave. , south Ray St. , and east 29th Ave. , while local access for residents remains open.

Concurrently, South Lincoln St. will see the rehabilitation of swale plantings, with work scheduled intermittently throughout the summer. Crews will replace existing plants on both sides of Lincoln St. Flaggers will assist with traffic management, and motorists should expect delays. Pedestrian detours will be in place to ensure safety during sidewalk obstructions.
