Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

The City of Spokane will initiate improvement projects on South Freya St. and South Lincoln St. starting July 21, causing significant traffic disruptions. On South Freya St. , over 3,000 feet of water main will be replaced, leading to a complete closure of the road between South 13th Ave.

and 21st Ave. Detours will be established on Hartson Ave. , South Ray St. , and East 29th Ave. , while local resident access remains.

This project is set to be completed by late October. Concurrently, South Lincoln St. will undergo swale planting rehabilitation, with work occurring intermittently throughout the summer. Traffic delays are expected when flaggers are present, and alternate routes include High Drive and Bernard St. Pedestrian detours will be implemented when sidewalks are obstructed by construction.
