Construction projects on South Freya St. and South Lincoln St. in Spokane will begin on July 21, impacting local traffic. The South Freya St. project involves replacing over 3,000 feet of water main and includes street surface repairs and ADA-compliant curb ramps.

Motorists should expect the street to close between South 13th Ave. and 21st Ave. , with Hartson Ave. , South Ray St. , and East 29th Ave.

as detour routes. Local access will be maintained for residents during the construction, which is expected to finish by late October. Concurrently, work on South Lincoln St. involves rehabilitating swale plantings on both sides, with crews removing old plants and replacing them with new ones. This work will occur intermittently throughout the summer, with flaggers on site directing traffic when necessary.

Traffic delays are anticipated during flagging, with High Drive and Bernard St. as alternate routes. Pedestrian detours will be implemented when sidewalks are obstructed during the project.
