Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Spokane, WALocal News

Starting July 21, Spokane will implement two construction projects that will significantly affect traffic flow. The South Freya Street project will close the road between 13th Avenue and 21st Avenue to replace over 3,000 feet of water main, with completion anticipated by late October. Motorists should expect detours on Hartson Avenue, South Ray Street, and East 29th Avenue. The second project on South Lincoln Street will involve intermittent work throughout the summer, focusing on rehabilitating swale plantings from 19th Avenue to 29th Avenue. Flaggers will be present to manage traffic during critical times, and delays may occur.

Pedestrians will encounter detours when sidewalks are obstructed by construction. These projects aim to enhance infrastructure and support local utilities while minimizing service disruptions. Residents are encouraged to support local businesses affected by the construction.
