Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane will initiate two traffic-impacting construction projects starting July 21. South Freya St. will close between 13th Ave. and 21st Ave. for over 3,000 feet of water main replacement, ADA-compliant curb ramp installation, and street surface repairs, with an anticipated completion in late October.

Motorists will use Hartson Ave. , South Ray St. , and East 29th Ave. as detours, while local residents maintain access. Meanwhile, South Lincoln St.

will undergo a rehabilitation of swale plantings, with work scheduled intermittently on weekdays throughout the summer. Flaggers will direct vehicle traffic when required, and delays are likely. Alternate routes include High Drive and Bernard St. , and pedestrian detours will be in place during sidewalk obstructions. This construction is part of ongoing efforts to improve city infrastructure and support local businesses affected by the work.
