Tragic mishap on an electric scooter leads to a collision, resulting in the death of an adult male

Two males were riding an electric scooter when the rear passenger fell into the street and was hit by a semi-truck in Spokane on July 19, 2025, around 2:20 am. The truck driver, who remained at the scene, showed no signs of impairment and cooperated fully with law enforcement. Emergency medical personnel attempted to save the passenger's life, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The area surrounding the incident was closed for several hours for investigation purposes. The Spokane County Medical Examiner's Office will announce the identity of the deceased later.
