Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Starting July 21, construction projects will disrupt traffic on South Freya St. and South Lincoln St. South Freya St. will close between 13th Ave. and 21st Ave.

for the replacement of over 3,000 feet of water main, alongside street repairs and ADA-compliant curb ramps. Detours will be in place, utilizing Hartson Ave. , South Ray St. , and East 29th Ave. , while local access will remain for residents.

Construction on South Freya is expected to complete by late October. Meanwhile, South Lincoln St. will see swale planting rehabilitation, with crews replacing existing plants on both sides. This work will occur intermittently on weekdays throughout the summer, with flaggers directing traffic when necessary. Motorists should anticipate delays and consider alternate routes such as High Drive and Bernard St.

Pedestrian detours will also be implemented when sidewalks are obstructed.
