Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Starting July 21, two construction projects will affect traffic in the city. The South Freya St. project will replace over 3,000 feet of water main, necessitating the closure of the road between 13th Ave. and 21st Ave. Detours will be available via Hartson Ave.

and South Ray St. , while local access remains for residents. Concurrently, the South Lincoln St. project will rehabilitate swale plantings, with intermittent work expected throughout the summer. Traffic delays may occur, with flaggers on-site to manage vehicle flow when necessary.

Pedestrian detours will be implemented to ensure safety. Both projects are vital for infrastructure improvement and community support. The South Freya St. construction is projected to finish by late October.
