Help Shape Local Climate Policies Today
Spokane community members have the opportunity to shape local climate policies through the Community Climate Policy Survey, open until August 31, 2025. This survey follows significant community engagement earlier this year when over 1,500 residents shared insights on climate challenges like wildfires and heat. Their feedback contributed to the City of Spokane Climate Risk and Vulnerability Assessment, integrating diverse experiences with data. The current survey will inform future policies for PlanSpokane 2046, directing city actions on climate hazards. The survey is accessible in English, Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, Arabic, and Marshallese, ensuring broad participation.
Respondents have a chance to win one of ten $50 gift cards as a thank-you for their input. The project is funded by a state grant from Washington's Climate Commitment Act, which aims to reduce climate pollution and enhance public health. Engagement in this survey is crucial for building a resilient Spokane.
