Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Starting Monday, July 21, Spokane will initiate construction projects that will affect traffic on South Freya St. and South Lincoln St. The South Freya project will replace over 3,000 feet of water main, closing the street from 13th Ave. to 21st Ave. Detour routes include Hartson Ave.

, south Ray St. , and east 29th Ave. , while local access for residents will remain open. This project is expected to finish by late October. On South Lincoln St.

, crews will rehabilitate swale plantings on both sides between 19th Ave. and 29th Ave. Work will occur intermittently this summer, with flaggers on site to manage traffic and ensure safety. Pedestrian detours will be established when sidewalks are impacted, contributing to possible traffic delays. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes, including High Drive and Bernard St.

, to avoid congestion.
