Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane Police arrested Chad Horne in the Liberty Lake area on July 9, 2025, in connection with multiple arson incidents that occurred the previous day. Horne, 37, was wanted for 2nd Degree Arson and had been seen near Walmart in Spokane Valley before his arrest. On July 8, investigators linked him to four deliberately set fires, including a structure fire at My Fresh Basket and other locations in Spokane. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the series of incidents raised significant safety concerns amid hot and dry weather conditions. The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit is actively pursuing further leads and urges the public to provide any relevant surveillance footage.

Horne's arrest followed community tips that aided police in locating him. The investigation highlights the importance of public cooperation in resolving such serious incidents. Authorities continue to seek additional evidence to determine if there are more related fires.
