Police Ombuds Bart Logue emphasized her strong legal background and analytic skills, which are expected to enhance Spokane's oversight processes. Spokane Police Chief Kevin Hall highlighted Mascio's public service commitment, anticipating it will strengthen trust and accountability with the community.
Detective Dave Dunkin from the Spokane Police Guild commended the selection process and expressed optimism about Mascio's impact on police oversight.
