Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane Police arrested Chad Horne on July 9, 2025, for 2nd Degree Arson following a series of deliberately set fires in Spokane. The police had probable cause after receiving tips that Horne was near a Wal-Mart in Spokane Valley. He was described as a 37-year-old white male, 5'11" tall, with a slim build, last seen wearing dark bike shorts and a black tank top. Horne is also wanted for an unrelated domestic violence charge. The fires occurred early on July 8, damaging four structures, including a local business and an electric vehicle charging station.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the incidents alarmed authorities due to prevailing hot and dry weather. Investigators are actively seeking more evidence and have asked for public assistance in gathering surveillance footage.
