SPD Investigates Several Intentionally Set Fires

Spokane Police arrested Chad Horne, 37, in Liberty Lake for 2nd Degree Arson following a series of intentionally set fires on July 8, 2025. Horne was last seen near a Walmart in Spokane Valley and had changed his clothing since the incidents. Investigators had established probable cause for his arrest based on tips received from the public. Horne, described as a white male, 5'11", slim build, was carrying a large bag at the time of his arrest. The fires included multiple structures and a vehicle charging station, raising significant safety concerns amid hot and dry weather.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the fires. Authorities continue to encourage anyone with information or surveillance footage to reach out to Crime Check. The investigation remains active as police assess any additional related incidents.
