Crews arrived within ten minutes to find a grass and brush fire burning under an acre in a timbered area. The Spokane Fire Department, alongside the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and Spokane County Fire District 10, engaged the fire effectively. Firefighters managed to mop up hot spots just over an hour after their arrival, showcasing a prompt and coordinated response. Investigators are probing the cause, considering it suspicious, and are looking for a dark-colored Ford Ranger that was spotted leaving the area shortly after the fire broke out.
