Pedestrian and Bike Improvement Projects Begin Next Week

to W. Sinto Ave. until September, featuring buffered bike lanes and widened sidewalks. Meanwhile, improvements on Maxwell Ave. will occur until October, including new sidewalks and crosswalk enhancements.

Detours will redirect traffic, and motorists should prepare for delays and slower speeds during peak hours. Local access for residents will be maintained, and businesses are encouraged to remain open despite the construction. The Maxwell Ave. project receives support from Washington’s Climate Commitment Act, highlighting efforts to reduce climate pollution. Local officials emphasize the importance of community support for affected businesses.

Both projects reflect Spokane's commitment to improving public health and safety through better infrastructure.
