City Closures Planned for Juneteenth

Spokane City Hall will close on Juneteenth, June 19, in observance of the federal holiday that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans. Spokane Municipal Court, Community Justice Services, all library branches, and the Development Services Center will also be closed on this day. On-street parking meters and kiosks will not require payments, but all parking rules, including time limits, will still apply. Spokane 311 employees will be available for customer service inquiries, ensuring residents can access necessary information. Garbage, recycling, and food waste services will operate as usual, while Riverfront Park attractions, including the Numerica SkyRide, will remain open.

City golf courses will function normally, and splash pads will be accessible. The Spokane City Council will meet on June 23, with a 3:30 p. m. agenda review followed by a legislative meeting at 6 p. m.
