Smart Disposal Made Simple Carnation Recycling Event with Composting Extras

On June 14, 2025, the City of Carnation will hold a recycling event at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, running from 9 A. M. to 3 P. M. This initiative, supported by county and state agencies, aims to assist residents in recycling various items responsibly.

Accepted materials include up to six passenger tires free of charge, lead acid batteries, and electronic devices, with some items incurring fees. For instance, a $35 fee applies for refrigerators and mattresses. Residents can also utilize shredding services for confidential documents. The event addresses the challenge of properly disposing of items that are not suitable for curbside bins. By participating, residents can significantly reduce household waste and contribute to environmental sustainability.

The initiative highlights the city's commitment to promoting responsible recycling practices.
