Progress Continues on I-90SR 18 Interchange, Nighttime Closures Planned

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The I-90/SR 18 Interchange Improvements project by WSDOT is advancing rapidly, with various nighttime lane closures planned from Sept. 13 to 26. These closures will affect the eastbound I-90 on- and off-ramps, and other local access points. Notably, the westbound I-90 off-ramp will close from Sept. 19 to 22 for the final asphalt layer application, redirecting traffic to alternate routes.

The project also features a multi-use path and compliant crosswalks to improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and mobility device users. Recent work included laying approximately 4,700 tons of asphalt on SR 18, establishing a robust roadway base. Crews are also installing necessary utilities and completing storm drainage systems. The project aims for completion later this fall, enhancing traffic flow and safety in the region. Local commuters should plan ahead for potential delays during construction periods.
