Traffic to Shift onto New SR 18 Bridges May 28 June 1 Five-Day Closure at I-90 Begins May 29

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

State Route 18 will undergo overnight lane reductions on May 28 and June 1, allowing traffic to shift onto two new bridges over Raging River and Deep Creek. The Washington State Department of Transportation announced a five-day closure beginning May 29, prohibiting traffic under the I-90 bridges. During this closure, eastbound SR 18 traffic must take the on-ramp to I-90, while westbound traffic will also divert to I-90. No left turns onto SR 18 will be permitted at the I-90 off-ramps. Detour options include using the Southeast North Bend Way interchange to the east or the Preston-Fall City and High Point interchanges to the west.

This construction is part of a larger project that includes a new diverging diamond interchange and the widening of SR 18 to two lanes in each direction. The diverging diamond interchange is set to open this summer, with the overall project completion expected later this year. Real-time travel information can be accessed through the WSDOT mobile app and website.
