Weekend Closure of SR 18 On-Ramps to Westbound I-90 Begins Friday Night Near Snoqualmie

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The SR 18/Snoqualmie Parkway on-ramps to westbound I-90 will close from 9 p. m. on April 25 until 5 a. m. on April 28 for paving at the interchange near Snoqualmie.

Motorists must utilize a signed detour using eastbound I-90 to exit 27. Contractor crews will relocate barriers, pave a new roadway, and stripe a new alignment in this phase of the project. The I-90/SR 18 Interchange Improvements project aims to enhance traffic flow and safety by widening SR 18 and constructing new bridges for wildlife. When the ramps reopen, lanes will bend to the west, aligning under the I-90 bridges. The new diverging diamond interchange is scheduled to open this summer, with SR 18 widening expected later this year.

Travelers can obtain real-time updates through the WSDOT mobile app or website. This project reflects ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and promote ecological connectivity in the region.
