King County is gearing up for its general election on November 4, 2025, with the candidate filing period running from May 5 to May 9, 2025. Local elections will feature significant positions, including mayors and various city council seats in Snoqualmie, North Bend, Carnation, and Duvall. In Snoqualmie, voters will select a mayor and council members for positions 1, 3, 5, and 7, while North Bend will see elections for council positions 2, 4, and 6. Carnation has two council seats open, and Duvall will elect a new mayor along with council positions 1, 3, and 6. To be eligible, candidates must complete a Declaration of Candidacy and fulfill requirements such as being a registered voter and a resident for at least one year.

King County Elections recommends filing online to streamline the process. For those who change their minds, the withdrawal deadline is May 12, at 5 p. m. With the primary election set for August 5, 2025, and the general election on November 4, 2025, now is the time for potential candidates to take action and engage in public service.
