Weekend Closure of I-90 to SR 18 Off-Ramp Begins April 4 Near Snoqualmie for Interchange Upgrades

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The westbound off-ramp from I-90 to SR 18/Snoqualmie Parkway will be closed for a weekend starting April 4 at 9 p. m. , with plans to reopen by 5 a. m. on April 7.

This closure is part of an effort to realign and expand the ramp, which currently operates as a single lane. Drivers are encouraged to follow the signed detour that routes them west to Fall City/Preston before looping back to the eastbound I-90 off-ramp. When the ramp reopens, it will feature a two-lane configuration, improving the left turn onto SR 18 and alleviating congestion. The project is part of the I-90/SR 18 Interchange Improvements initiative, which also includes constructing new four-lane bridges to support local wildlife. Additional upgrades aim to enhance traffic flow and safety for the significant number of commuters using the interchange.

The work is contingent on weather conditions and may be rescheduled if necessary. For ongoing travel information, updates can be accessed via the WSDOT mobile app and the WSDOT Travel Center Map.
