Help Chickadee Bakeshop Rise Again Community Support Needed After 2024 Fire

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

On April 14, 2024, a fire devastated a commercial building in downtown Snoqualmie, displacing several small businesses, including the beloved Chickadee Bakeshop. Nearly a year later, owners Katie and Dorie are striving to rebuild their bakery, which was known for its warm atmosphere and fresh baked goods. While insurance provided some assistance, it has not been enough to cover the substantial rebuilding costs in the current economic climate. With the help of SpotFund, they are seeking community contributions to replenish essential baking equipment and ingredients. Community member Susan Burk highlights the owners' significant involvement in local initiatives, reinforcing the notion that supporting them is crucial for the community's fabric.

Their motto, "Eat Pie and Be Kind," encapsulates their dedication to kindness and community spirit. The owners express deep gratitude for the support they've received and are eager to welcome patrons back into their bakery. This heartfelt appeal serves as a reminder of the resilience and support that define the Snoqualmie Valley.
