Celebrate Arbor Day with a Community Planting along the South Fork Snoqualmie River
Mayor Miller has proclaimed November 14, 2025, as Arbor Day in North Bend, highlighting the city's commitment to environmental stewardship. The community planting event, set for 2 to 4 p. m. along the South Fork of the Snoqualmie River, aims to restore riparian habitats through the planting of native species. Organized by the City of North Bend and Mountains to Sound Greenway, the initiative seeks to enhance local biodiversity and promote community engagement.
Volunteers must wear long pants, sturdy closed-toe shoes, and gloves, which will be supplied at the event. The free event welcomes participants of all ages, requiring adult supervision for children under 13. Attendees should prepare for the weather by bringing warm layers and rain gear, along with a water bottle. Registration is available through the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust's website. This effort reflects a broader commitment to environmental conservation in the region.
